Premiering this exciting and modern piece commissioned for the Wool & Water Arts Festival by Stroud based composer, Andrew Heath.

Warp & Weft is approximately 20 minutes long.

There will be an introduction by Andrew and following the performance there will be a question and answer session.

Where: Town Hall, Cheltenham

Join The Studio Orchestra as they perform the music of one of the greatest and most celebrated film composers of all time, John Williams.

With their instantly recognisable themes and breath taking beauty, five-time Oscar winner John Williams’ legendary scores have continued to inspire and capture the hearts of audiences by bringing to life some of the most successful films of all time.

Featuring a 60-piece professional orchestra, adventure though some of the most famous and well-loved films scores: Star Wars, Harry Potter, Indiana Jones, Superman, Jaws, E.T. and many more.

An evening of classical piano, with James Quinn, John Kerr and Joshua Crunden, featuring works by Mozart, Chopin, Rachmaninov and more.

Concert in association with the Holst Birthplace Museum.

Featuring: Holst - Fugal Concerto, Songs without Words No 1 and Lyric Movement, Mozart - Overture Don Giovanni, and Symphony No 39 in E and Vaughan Williams - Romance from Serenade in A Minor.

Music at Stow

Where: St. Edward's Church, Church Street, Stow on the Wold

Music at Stow aims to play good music and bring big names to a small place.

Classical performances by Tedesca String Quartet - October 9 and Raphael Wallfisch with John York - cello and piano duo - October 10.

This event also features The Animals, and Jacqui Dankworth at later dates.

European Union Chamber Orchestra

Where: Stroud Subscription Rooms, George Street

Director/violin: Hans-Peter Hofmann

The EUCO gave its first concerts in 1981 and soon gained a worldwide reputation as a musical ambassador for the European Union. The Chamber Orchestra annually perform around 40 concerts and have played in 73 countries to-date. Recent soloists include Nicola Benedetti, Alison Balsam and Julian Lloyd Webber. Other distinguished artists include, Lazar Berman, Mischa Maisky, James Galway, Gil Apap, Alina Ibragimova and Emma Johnson.

This programme includes: Grieg - Holberg Suite, Mendelssohn - Violin Concerto in D minor and Dvorak - Serenade for Strings.
