As members of the excitingly named "Oversight and Scrutiny Committee", I and fellow district councillors from both the Liberal Democrat and Conservative Parties spent the best part of a beautiful Tuesday morning in the council chamber holding our executive to account.
Having just returned from holiday and with less than two months to go until we crash out of Europe how can our parliamentary politicians choose to absent themselves from Westminster for another 5 weeks?
