An 11-year-old girl in Malmesbury was approached on her way from school earlier this week.

On Tuesday afternoon, the girl was approached by a woman who asked her about her school uniform.

She wasn't injured but was unnerved by the incident.

A Wiltshire Police spokesman said: “We are investigating a report of a suspicious incident in Malmesbury where a teenage girl was approached by a woman.

“The woman is described as white, between 35 and 45 years old, with shoulder-length dark wavy or curly hair.

"She was in a dark-coloured small vehicle, possibly a Ford.
