A Malmesbury shop has introduced its very own milk refill station.

The Wild Food Company based on the High Street has worked tirelessly over the past year to reduce its plastic lifestyle, and they have now taken another big step forward in their efforts against single use plastic.

Supplied by local Woefuldane Organic Dairy, customers can now visit the store with their milk bottles and top up on unhomogenised semi-skimmed organic milk.

The refill station adds to the shops growing refill and zero waste offering.

Owner Tom Bowerman said: “We’ve been wanting to add a refill option for milk for some time but wanted to make sure we used a really high welfare local and organic dairy.

"Customers can either bring their own bottles or can purchase a glass milk bottle in store ready for refills.

"We’ve had a lot of customers asking for this service so we’re really pleased to have been able to offer it now.”

The milk on tap joins other recently introduced refill products which include local cold pressed rapeseed oil and a range of loose leaf teas sold by weight.
