An exercise class designed for seniors to come together and improve their strength, balance and endurance has launched in Lechlade.

Ready, Steady, Balance is a 45 minute class consisting of seated and standing exercises for nervous seniors to stay steady on their feet.

The class is also said to help with anyone suffering from long term health conditions including dementia, heart disease, depression and diabetes.

Lucy Brooks, a rehabilitation exercise specialist is running the class.

She has 18 years’ experience in health and fitness and qualified as a postural stability instructor in January.

Lucy said: “With local facilities under threat of closing down, it is important to keep these types of exercise classes going.

"It is so important to try to reduce the level of isolation in the community, especially within the elderly.”

The class will be held at Lechlade Memorial Hall on a Tuesday morning from 9.45am to 10.30am at £5 per class.

Spaces are limited, so if you would like to book on or ask Lucy any questions email Lucy on info@revitalisewithlucy.co.uk.
