Kingshill School in Cirencester are celebrating excellent GCSE results including some outstanding personal achievements.

80 per cent of pupils achieved a standard pass, (grades 9-4), in English.

77 per cent of pupils achieved a standard pass in GCSE mathematics.

And 65 per cent of pupils achieved five or more standard passes including English and mathematics.

Kingshill School headteacher Christine Oates said: "Congratulations to all our Year 11 pupils.

"They worked very hard throughout Year 11 and the pupils were a credit to themselves, their parents and the school.

"The staff worked persistently hard to raise pupil expectations, encouraging and supporting the pupils throughout their GCSE courses.

"The staff are delighted with the GCSE results and would like to wish Year 11 pupils every success for their future."
