TWO Stroud fitness instructors are hosting charity work out sessions especially for mums.

Kate Eldridge and Mel Woolley want to help mums take some time to look after their own wellbeing, while raising funds for Home-Start Stroud and the Children’s Air Ambulance at the same time.

There will be a ‘MumFit’ session on Wednesday, August 28 at 9.45am and a Zumba class on Friday, August 30 at 6.30pm, both at The Fifth Dimension in Ebley.

Kate and Mel run MumFit, which offers exercise routines in a mother friendly environment, with babies, toddlers and children welcome to come along.

It was Kate and Mel’s own pregnancy and child rearing experiences that inspired them to create MumFit.

Both coming from a fitness background, they agreed that there was a need for a class that would enable mums to exercise safely with their little ones in tow.

“There is no doubt that looking after little ones is a full time job and as a result the thought of finding the time or energy to exercise can seem impossible,” said Kate.

“Exercise is however extremely important for both the physical and mental wellbeing of mums and carers.”

You don’t have to be a member of the Fifth Dimension to attend the sessions.
