Yate Leisure Centre have confirmed that their gym will be closed from August 27 to August 31 for a major revamp.

The Active Centre is part of the Circadian Trust alongside other centres in Bradley Stoke and Thornbury

The new refurbishment will cost around £220,000 and will see the gym closed for three days laters this month.

Andy Robinson, centre manager at Yate Active Lifestyle Centre, said: “We’re committed to offering the best facilities to our customers so these refurbishment works are absolutely essential.

“It is an exciting time for Yate and it’s fantastic to see an increase in customers who are new to exercise. I look forward to welcoming customers to the new-look gym very soon.”
