A Cirencester drink-driver who was more than three times the limit has been banned for 14 months.

Henry Lewis, aged 68, of Meadow Road, pleaded guilty to two offences at Cheltenham Magistrates Court on August 1.

He was stopped in his car on Ermin Way in Cirencester on January 27 this year.

The court heard how Lewis was found to have 124 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, the legal limit being 35 micrograms.

He was also found guilty of driving without a licence and drink driving.

Lewis was banned from driving for 14 months and ordered to pay costs of £295.
