A drink-driver who was caught by police has been banned from driving for more than a year.

Kate McGrath, 18, of Cirencester Whiteway, Cirencester, admitted driving with excess alcohol when she appeared before Cheltenham magistrates on July 31.

She was stopped in her car on Queens Street, Cheltenham on July 16 this year.

McGrath was found to have 51 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, the legal limit being 35 micrograms.

She was banned from driving for 14 months, fined £120 and ordered to pay costs of £117.
