FOREST GREEN boss Mark Cooper insists tonight's Carabao Cup tie at Championship Charlton Athletic is a "free shot" for his side.

Rovers travel to the Valley on the back of an unbeaten start to their League Two season, but Cooper is set to make a raft of changes to the side that were held to a 1-1 draw at promotion hopefuls Walsall at the weekend.

Cooper's had will be forced as he remains without George Williams (broken leg), Liam Shephard (knee) and now Farrend Rawson who picked up a head injury at the Bescot.

Cooper said: "Nothing to lose for us, a free shot for us and we will make some changes and hopefully the boys that get a chance can show what they're about."
