A Cirencester chippie is offering free chips to celebrate UK national potato day.
Next Monday (August 19), is national potato day, so to celebrate Malt and Anchor will be offering a free portion of chips with every takeaway fish they sell for one day only.
A spokesman for Malt and Anchor said: "All of us here at Malt and Anchor are positively potty about potatoes in all their forms, but above all for that most delectable of treats, the chip.
"We only use Ramos spuds to make our chips because we believe they consistently deliver the best texture and flavour.
"We were lucky enough to have been awarded the best newcomers at the national fish and chip awards in 2018 and then went on to be named finalists among the best six fish and chip restaurants in the UK the following year, so we like to think we know a thing or two when it comes to chips!"
