The Met Office has issued a yellow warning for South-West England with strong winds expected to cause some disruption, particularly during the day on Saturday, August 10.
Unseasonably strong southwesterly winds are expected to cause some disruption, with gusts over 40 mph possible
inland.
Gusts over 50 mph are possible along some coasts of the Bristol Channel, English Channel and through the Strait of Dover.
The warning has said that as a result, short-term loss of power "and other services" could be possible.
Drivers of "high-sided vehicles" navigating exposed routes and bridges are asked to take caution.
Some bus and train services might be affected, with journeys taking longer than usual.
"Some delays to road, rail, air and ferry transport are likely, with some fallen trees possible," a spokesperson said.
