A PROPERTY company has been ordered to pay £25,000 for removing historic windows.
Digbeth Property Services Limited, of Braecroft, Upper Oddington, Moreton-In-Marsh were found guilty of the offence at Cheltenham Magistrates Court on July 22.
Between September 1, 2017 and April 30, 2018, at St Edwards House, the Square, Stow-on-the-Wold, as the owner of the property, they caused the removal, destruction and replacement of six windows at the front of the property and the installation of plasterboard ceilings in both ground floor reception rooms.
St Edwards House is a Grade II listed building previously occupied by St Edwards Cafe.
Digbeth Property Services Limited were fined £20,000 and ordered to pay costs of £5,821.
