A girl was taken to hospital after an assault in a Thornbury park last night.
Police were called to Streamleaze Park at 10.30pm following an altercation between a man and a group of girls.
It is thought the girls were confronted following the alleged release of fireworks.
The man struck one of the girls with what appeared to be a torch. The girls then ran into Dovedale.
The girl assaulted suffered a cut to her head. An ambulance was called and she was taken to hospital.
