A gin company alongside a pub has teamed up with a Tailors who have made bespoke clothing for sports stars including England Women's manager Phil Neville to launch two new gin cocktails.

The team behind The Polo Gin Company and The Foston’s Ash pub has joined forces with Cirencester’s Barrington Ayre Shirtmaker and Tailor to launch the two stylish drinks, one of which is called The Barrington Ayre Sour.

Barrington Ayre have recently got behind the Cirencester Park Polo Club Committee Cup, the British Polo Gin company run the clubhouse bar and in honour of the now finished competition.

It is not the tailor’s first foray into the world of polo as in 2017 Barrington Ayre designed and made the official club blazer as well as a Most Valuable Player jacket that is still framed and placed in the famous Ivy Lodge club house.

“Polo is part of the fabric of Cirencester, no pun intended,” said principle tailor and director of Barrington Ayre Tom Wharton. “A lot of our clients frequent the club or are members of clubs across the country. It is great to be back working with one of the most famous polo clubs in the world.”

The Cotswold based tailors has been working with sport and sports stars for many years.

They have made bespoke clothing for the likes of footballers Robbie Savage and Phil Neville, cricket supremo David ‘Bumble’ Lloyd and former Ashes winning England cricket captain – Michael Vaughan.
