The Lotus Drivers Club completed its annual Mike Stripe Memorial Event this weekend.

Mike Stripe was the chairman of the drivers club before he died of cancer.

This year, the event started and finished at the Royal Agricultural University in Cirencester.

The event epitomises the clubs aim, which is to drive and enjoy Lotus Cars.

33 cars spent Saturday touring the Cotswolds, taking on a 120 mile route, passing through Chipping Norton, Sudeley Castle, The Greedy Goose near Moreton in Marsh, and the Cotswold Gateway Centre on the Spine Road.

Sunday's route was slightly shorter (75 miles), and passed through Minchinhampton Common, Nympsfield and Tetbury before finishing at Williams Automobiles, who kindly provided a BBQ lunch.

The event this year raised funds in aid of Cancer Research and Mission Motorsport.

All the members of the club are said to have had a great time.

“You said it was going to be good, well it was even better," one member commented.
