l Camp Bestival

Held at the stunningly beautiful Lulworth Castle in Dorset, Camp Bestival always gets the vote for the best family festival.

Taking the children to enjoy camping out and great music and fun activities is what Camp Bestival is all about and as it is in Dorset you can make a holiday out of it.

The Castle Stage will host headliners Jess Glynne, The Human League, Nile Rodgers & Chic and Annie Mac. The headliners join a stellar line-up including Lewis Capaldi, The Wailers, Sara Cox, Biq Shaq, Vengaboys, Goldie, David Rodigan, Greg Wilson, Rak-Su, Morcheeba, Ash, Grandmaster Flash, Nina Nesbitt, East 17, The Cuban Brothers, Four of Diamonds, DJ Yoda, Dub Pistols, Vic Reeves, A Guy Called Gerald and many more.

For the 90s kids, Spice Girl Melanie C will be bringing the girl power with her mega mixtape.

The kids can also get down and dance with a set from Big Fish Little Fish, or explore more acts including Mr Tumble, Mister Maker & The Shapes, Mischief and Mystery in Moominville, Mr Bloom & His Band, Shaun the Sheep’s Vegetable Orchestra, Shake it with Shaun, Aardman Model Making Workshops, Roald Dahl and the Wurble Gobbler, CBBC favourites Sam & Mark and many more.

Camp Bestival will bring more momentous magic with an array of mouth-watering food offerings, exciting workshops and fun for the little ones, including Wild Tribe, a brand-new field for 2019. Utilising solar and alternative technology, the area will bring kids down to earth with screen-free activities such as bushcraft, mud slides, drumming circles and The Big Burn.

l Just So Festival

Held at Rode Heath, Cheshire, Just So puts on a show for babies and grown-ups alike, with feeding, changing and bath tents for babies, a secret, enchanted fairy city for curious young explorers, arty events for creative kids and yoga and massages for parents.

There is music from The Retrosettes, The Whiskey Rebellion and The Destroyers.

At the Silver Screen glade you can jump into interactive cinematically-themed events during the day and snuggle up with a blanket and a classic family film at night.

l The Big Feastival

A-list chefs rub shoulders with famous musicians at this feastival. It’s curated by the Jamie Oliver Foundation and takes place on the farm of Blur bassist, Alex James.

This year’s acts include Rudimental, Jess Glynne and Elbow.

And at the NEFF Cookaholics Cookery School you get the guidance of top chefs.

l Shambala Festival

Shambala in Market Harborough has puppet cabaret, storytelling, thought-provoking workshops at this eco-festival.Music comes from Idles, Debashish Bhattacharya and BCUC.

There is also crazy bikes, trampolines, hula hooping, break dancing and bubbles at the Playtopia Kids’ Field.
