The ninth annual Prescott Bike Festival took place at Prescott Hill Climb this weekend.

Spirits weren't dampened despite the weather with many hailing it as one of the 'best ever' diverse bike displays.

Festival organiser, Gordon Downie said: “A massive thank you to everyone - from those that took to the hill, entertainers, volunteers, marshals, photographers, commentators, trade stands, biker celebrities, exhibitors, Blood Bike volunteers and of course, the several thousand who turned up to support our annual fundraiser.

"The weather was better than forecast and of course, we had the biggest umbrella in the universe (the Custom Show marquee) for the odd shower or two.

"If you stayed away because of the weather, you really missed a great show”

Making its Prescott debut was Kickback, the National Custom Show and U.K. Championships showcasing a superb exhibition of the 80 finalists competing for the National Custom Championship awards.

The competition is a great platform for young, emerging and professional custom engineers to display their incredible feats of design and engineering.

Trophies were awarded in the various categories including Best Modified Performance Sportsbike, Best Budget Build, Butchered Classic, Young Builder, Freestyle and Best in Show.

The winning bikes and builders got to run their masterpieces up the hill led by Steve Parrish, riding Phil Milbourn's magnificent World Championship winning Titanium Moto Guzzi.

The new-look Prescott Bike Festival featured an extensive range of historic, custom builds, race bikes, factory bikes, prototypes to shed builds and record beating machines.

There were also opportunities, to those brave enough to take part in a thrilling passenger ride experience with a professional sidecar racing team or for members of public to ‘run the hill’ on their own motorbike.

Prescott Bike Festival raises money and awareness for the Blood Bikes charities to help keep them on the road providing a free vital out of hours medical transportation service to the NHS.

Next year's event will take place on June 13 and 14, 2020.
