A UNIQUE event which brings the whole community together has returned to Sherston.

Sherston POP saw over 70 families opening up their homes and gardens to entertain Sherston and raise a ‘little money’ for two fantastic charities.

Community groups shared their skills, teachers ran explosive science workshops, parents put on an hilarious family show, local businesses got involved and lots of brave families ran the most eclectic set of experiences ever seen in the village on one weekend!

In 2013, the event raised £4,200 and in 2016 it raised £5,900.

This year, Sherston POP raised a massive £7,600, smashing all previous records.

All the proceeds will go to Sherston Primary School and Sherston Village Hall.

A spokesman for Sherston Parish Council said: “The list of thank yous could go on and on and we are so grateful for everyone’s enthusiasm for POP.

“The aim of POP is to bring our community together and we hope that you enjoyed it.”
