A motorist who was twice the drink drive limit when he was stopped by police has been banned from driving for 18 months.
Douglas Fewell, 21, of Suffolk Close, Tetbury, admitted driving with excess alcohol when he appeared before Cheltenham magistrates on Thursday, May 23.
He was stopped in his car on the A433 Rodmarton near Cirencester on May 4 this year.
Fewell was found to have 78 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, the legal limit being 35 micrograms.
He was banned from driving for 18 months, fined £287 and ordered to pay costs of £115.
