ONCE again Prince Charles has graced Fairford with his presence when he came to enjoy another Music in Country Churches concert on Saturday at the historic St Mary's Church.
After driving himself to Fairford from his home at Highgrove in his Aston Martin, he walked through the line of welcome made up of Brownies, Rainbows, Scouts and Cubs from Fairford, as well as Brownies from Ampney Crucis, Quenington and Kempsford; and Guides from Meysey Hampton.
He stopped to speak to several people along the path and accepted posies, one of which was presented by Fairford Brownie, Lilly Crowton.
He was intrigued by Fairford's Young Ambassador and eco warrior, Heather Kent, 11, who was dressed in her litter-picking clothes and carried a bag of rubbish.
He asked Heather if she had collected much plastic and, when she answered 'yes', he said: 'I hate that blasted plastic!'
