A GARDENER was given quite the scare when she thought she unearthed a World War Two bomb.
The resident from Lea near Malmesbury was in her garden yesterday afternoon when she unearthed 'something suspicious'.
A Wiltshire police spokesman said: "We were called yesterday afternoon around 4.15pm by a member of the public concerned she had unearthed something suspicious while gardening.
"Officers were sent to the scene and the woman was given safety advice.
"In the meantime photographs of the suspected ammunition from the gardener were sent to Explosive Ordnance Disposal.
"The unit elected to come to the scene to investigate further.
"On closer inspection, they confirmed it was not ammunition of any kind."
Police couldn't confirm what the object was, but it is believed to be a rusty old suspension damper.
