Three men who invaded the pitch at Forest Green Rovers have been spared a ban.

Lewis Tansey, 19, of Leyton Drive, Bury; Sean Tansey, 46, of Leyton Drive, Bury; and Antony Grindrod, 39, of Atholl Drive in Heywood, went on to the pitch at the New Lawn during Bury's match against FGR on January 19.

All three pleaded guilty to a charge of going onto the playing area of a football pitch during the game.

Police applied for football banning orders for the three men but the court decided their records did not warrant this.

The men, all Bury supporters, were instead handed fines when appearing at Cheltenham Magistrates' Court on May 1.

Lewis Tansey had to pay total fines and costs of £345, Sean Tansey was charged £745 while Antony Grindrod had to pay £448.
