Plans are well underway for next year's Cotswold Hare Trail.

Last year, the hare trail was a massive success, raising £35,000 for Cotswolds AONB projects after its highly successful auction in the Autumn.

The bulk of the money has enabled the AONB’s Glorious Grasslands Project to get fully underway.

The project involves the group working with local wildlife trusts and similar groups to promote more wildlife friendly practices and restore some grassland habitats.

The hare trail isn't taking place this year due to the enormously complex of work needed to put on.

However, the trail will return next year, and plans are already well underway.

Festival director Florence Beetlestone explained that these next few months are essential to plan an exciting new venture.

She said: “We are looking now for a couple of new members for the team – a business partner and a logistics partner.

"It’s a wonderful event to work on, a lot of fun."

The trail is now actively recruiting potential artists to work on the new designs.

Sponsors have already begun signing up so it will be a case of first come first served with limited numbers of the sculptures.
