The history and heritage of Lechlade was celebrated over a special weekend at The Riverside Inn.

An exhibition by the Cotswold town’s history, photographic and art societies drew crowds from across the region.

There was also a special presentation by the new owners of the Lechlade Marina.

“It was a dedicated insight into the history of the Gloucestershire town,” said Riverside Manager Will Rowe.

“It is the start of something we would like to host every year, maybe even try and have a specific – Lechlade Day and involve more groups and businesses to showcase how lovely this town is.”

Photographs, pictures and documents and information from the towns past were on show and the event was opened by local Cllr and MBE Chris Roberts.
