An 89-year-old woman has suffered life threatening injuries in a crash on a Cotswolds road.

The woman was a passenger in a blue Ford Focus which crashed with a white DAF tipper truck on the B4077 near Ford at the crossroads for Cutsdean.

She was taken to Southmead Hospital, Bristol by air ambulance.

The driver, a 92-year-old man, suffered suffered serious injuries and was taken to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital.

Both were helped from the vehicle by fire crews before being assessed at the scene by ambulance staff.

The truck driver was not injured but was shaken by the incident.

Police are now appealing for witnesses to the crash took place at 10.20am this morning (Tuesday).

They would like to hear from anyone who has not already been spoken to who may have witnessed the collision, or either vehicle before it occurred, or anyone who may have dashcam footage which may help.
