A MAN is due in court today to face an allegation of attempted murder.
Dean Williams is scheduled to go on trial at Teesside Crown Court, and the case is expected to last four days.
Mr Williams, 29, of Oakley Walk, Bankfields, Eston, near Middlesbrough, is alleged to have tried to murder Lawrence Bennett.
Police said an incident took place on Moorcock Close on the Bankfields estate on October 27, and Mr Bennett was said to have received serious injuries.
The case will be heard by the Recorder of Middlesbrough, Judge Simon Bourne-Arton, QC.
