Another new defibrillator is set to be installed in Cirencester.
The defibrillator is set to be installed at McDonald's at Kingsmeadow.
Cllr Jenny Hincks (Independent) approved the Cotswold District council grant as a ward member.
"I was grateful that I had the opportunity to be able to find a home for another defibrillator, that has the chance of saving the life of someone from our local community," Cllr Hincks said.
CDC Cllr Stephen Andrews (Conservative) is a volunteer community first responder with the ambulance service in the South Cotswolds.
He said: “Placing these life saving devices at well known locations such as McDonald's in Cirencester is one way of helping to improve the chances of a heart attack patient in any of the surrounding area surviving.”
