THE April meeting of Cirencester Mothers’ Union (MU) began with an Act of Worship celebrating Mothering Sunday.
Following the usual notices, members were asked to consider ‘Ever wondered why you look better in some colours or styles than others?’
Liz Partington a ‘Colour me Beautiful’ consultant explained how with a little knowledge, everyone, whatever their age, shape or colouring can make the most of their wardrobe by selecting styles and colours to enhance their natural features.
And how the addition of a colourful scarf or a patterned accessory can ‘lift’ a traditional outfit.
Liz was happy to address individual queries and a scarf-tying masterclass ensued.
Afterwards, members enjoyed fellowship over tea and biscuits.
On Palm Sunday, April 14, there will be a cake stall after the 10am service in the Parish Hall, Watermoor Road. Donations of cakes welcome.
All funds raised to go MU projects in this country and overseas.
The next MU meeting is on Wednesday, May 1, at 2.30pm in the Parish Hall, Watermoor Road, when Tim Foggin will explain how the Bible Society is ‘Reaching out in the Middle East’.
Everyone welcome.
