A REMARKABLE woman from Tetbury has celebrated her 100th birthday with family and friends.
Adelaide Mary Bailey, who is known as Addie, has lived in the town from more than 40 years, and is no stranger to modern technology, skyping her family who live in Australia every Sunday, Kevin Painter writes.
Active Addie, who still lives in her own home, remains very much a part of the local community, and was looking forward to sharing the birthday celebrations with her friends at the Monday club which she regularly attends.
She was joined at a party by her son Chris who had come from his home in Australia. Her two granddaughters were also joining her from Australia.
Her card from the Queen took pride of place.
She was presented at the party with a bouquet of flowers from the mayor of Tetbury, Sandra Ball.
Addie enjoyed careers in the civil service and ANZ Bank.
