Residents are being urged to make sure they are registered to vote in next months elections.
On Thursday, May 2, people across the Cotswolds will go to the polls to vote in district, town and parish council elections.
Nigel Adams, returning officer at Cotswold District Council is asking residents to check they are registered before Friday's deadline.
“Residents have to be registered to take part in the elections, otherwise they will miss out on having their say on 2 May," he said.
“If you’re already registered, you don’t need to re-register to vote.
"If you’ve already received a polling card then you can be confident that you’re registered.
“Anyone not yet registered to vote should do so as soon as possible and by no later than the Friday, April 12, deadline.”
If you have recently moved house and you are unsure as to whether you have registered, you can check by calling the council's election team on 01285 623002 or by email at elections@cotswold.gov.uk.
