Extinction Rebellion are planning to protest in Cirencester tomorrow.
A march, setting off from Stroud on Saturday morning, will stop off in the centre of Cirencester at 5pm.
The march is one of several across the country that will meet in London for a week-long 'International Rebellion'.
Participants are gathering outside the Sub Rooms from 9am tomorrow. After stopping in Cirencester the march will join up with an Oxford group on Tuesday before heading for the capital.
Stroud's MP, David Drew, and Mayor Kevin Cranston have both come out in support of the march.
David Drew said: "I’m very happy to give my support to this. We have been told in no uncertain terms that we are heading for climate change catastrophe. Climate extinction is the issue of our time. This March brings home to people just why it matters to all of us now.
Kevin Cranston said: "Although there has been nothing but Brexit in the news for what seems like months now, the most serious problem this country, and all nations on earth, face is Climate Change.
"We have only a very short time to turn things around, it is simply not good enough for governments to say it is a very important and then carry on as usual."
