A road that was blocked after a multi-vehicle crash resulted in a large oil spill has partially reopened this morning.
The accident, which was reported to police at just after 8am today, March 27, is believed to have happened on the 'W', a busy road which leads out of Nailsworth to Minchinhampton Common.
Initial reports suggest that three cars were involved in the crash which happened near Hollies Hill.
Officers had closed to the road to deal with the wreckage from the accident and clear a large oil spill, but traffic is now being waved past the scene and sand has been used to cover the worst of the spillage.
Police have confirmed that three vehicles were involved in the crash, thankfully at present no casualties have been reported.
Traffic is beginning to clear in the area but drivers are still being advised to avoid the area and take an alternative route where possible.
