Children at a school in Thornbury have made ecobricks as part of a project about the environment.
Pupils at Crossways Junior School each made an ecobrick, a plastic bottle filled with compressed plastic waste that cannot be recycled.
First used in central America 15 years ago, ecobricks have been used to build furniture and even walls in houses.
Every child at Crossways was asked to make an eco brick as part of their learning about plastic and its effect on the environment.
Mrs Cliff, a parent at the school, coordinated collection of all the bricks.
She will be using them to make something on the school grounds.
On Thursday, March 15, year four children gave a performance for Thornbury town councillor Helen Harrison and Mrs Cliff.
They recited a poem about recycling, explained all about ecobricks and held a question and answer session.
