Dear Editor

What joy!

Due to roadworks in the town centre,we have for the last few days been able again to drive through Castle Street as we used to do.

This means we drive some 300 yards instead of a two mile crawl around Cirencester to get to the same point.

The drive round the town causes traffic pollution and is bad for the environment. Will the "team" consider ending it and allow traffic to use Castle Street as in the past.

Sensible communities are now making every effort to reduce traffic pollution for the good of the environment and the future of the planet.
