Developers looking to build houses on two sites in Kemble are inviting members of the public to review plans and let them know what they think at an event next week.

BDL on behalf of The Bathurst Estate has announced that it will be consulting local residents and stakeholders on plans for residential development at two sites in Kemble village, located at West Lane and land adjoining Clayfurlong Grove and the A429.

The sites were earmarked for residential development in the Cotswold District Council local plan and this will be first of a series of consultations with the local community.

Plans go on show at Kemble Village Hall on Thursday, March 14, invites to the event have been sent to approximately 500 residents and businesses in the parish of Kemble and Ewen.

The drop-in event will run from 2pm to 9pm, with members of the project team on-hand to provide any further information or answer questions which members of the community may have.

In a statement the Bathurst Estate said that the company is keen to hear the views of local people and gather feedback that will help shape the final proposals prior to a full planning application being submitted to Cotswold District Council in the coming months.

Rob Head, project manager for BDL, said: “We are looking forward to hearing from local residents and stakeholders about the work we have done on our plans so far.

“We believe that our proposals to develop both sites in Kemble with a small number of high quality homes that are designed to be respectful of the immediate environment, and aesthetics of Kemble will positively contribute to the village.

“The site is well located and is just a short walk from shopping and transport amenities.”
