Dear Editor
LAST Saturday I spent sometime standing at the top of Cricklade Street Cirencester doing a charity street collection and I was amazed at the number of vehicles that tried to drive down it.
The street was full of pedestrians including children so there was plenty of potential for an accident to occur.
Something must be done to resolve this problem before someone gets hurt. One of the things that's needed is better signage saying no entry, the current ones are to high and above eyesight level for drivers, people just do not look up to that level.
I appreciate that they need to be above head height but not that high. County Council please act before its to late. Some enforcement would help.
Regards
Cllr Ray Brassington
Lib Dem District Councillor for Cirencester
