Pucklechurch's annual scarecrow competition and trail is set to return for an 11th year.
The event, organised by St Thomas a Becket Church will take place over the May Day bank holiday weekend.
This year's theme is 'Your favourite storybook character' and people are invited to make scarecrows and place them in prominent positions in gardens around the village.
There will be a prize for the best scarecrow as voted by the public and there will also be a ‘lucky dip’ draw from all the entrants to select another winner.
Those taking part in the trail can also enter a competition to win a cash prize by solving clues and guessing the names of scarecrows.
There will also be refreshments and craft stalls at the church.
The trail is open from 11.30am-4.30pm on Sunday, May 5 and from 10.30am-4.30pm the following day.
Entry for the trail is £2 for adults and £1 for children with family tickets available for £5.
The closing date to enter a scarecrow is April 12.
To enter ring 01179 373262 or email pucklechurchscarecrow@gmail.com with details of the character you have chosen, a clue to help people guess the scarecrow’s identity and your name, address and telephone number.
