POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a crash in which a pregnant woman’s car ended up facing the wrong way on the M4.
It happened at about 6.40pm on Wednesday, February 6 on the M4 westbound between junctions 18 for Bath and 19 for Bristol.
The collision involved a silver Ford Focus and the woman’s blue Vauxhall Corsa, both travelling in lane one.
The woman was taken to hospital as a precaution following the incident.
A 25-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of driving while unfit through drugs. He was later released under investigation.
A spokesman for Avon and Somerset Police said: "We’re keen to hear from anyone who saw the crash or the manner of driving in the moments beforehand.
