A cirencester charity have been awarded just over £6,000 from the Tampon Tax Community Grant.

The Churn Project are to benefit from the grant, allowing them to set up a new group called Time for You.

Designed for mums with children at school, the group will provide the chance to be creative and learn new skills alongside other mums and in a very supportive environment.

Beginning towards the end of February and running until the start of 2020, the group will focus on topics such as first aid, healthy eating and recycling.

Michelle Bradburn, Churn Project engagement worker said: “It will support women to build their skills and their confidence, give them time and space to think about themselves, make them more aware of health issues and help them build their own social networks so they can learn to support each other during and after the Time for You programme.”
