SINCE its formation 20 years ago, Wotton based Charwood Investment Club has been relatively successful in ‘playing the stock market’.
The club has previously appeared in the ‘top ten’ of Barclay Bank’s Investment Club League and, in addition to a share in the club’s portfolio, members also benefit from dividend payouts.
The club has evolved various strategies for buying and selling where, even in today’s difficult trading climate, the members often manage to retain value.
Club members are from all walks of life and meet on the second Monday of the month at the Star Inn, Wotton under Edge at 8pm.
Anyone interested in investing, ‘playing the market’ or who would like to learn more, is invited to join one of the meetings to meet members and see and participate in a session.
An investment or financial background is not required.
