It is panto time again for an award winning group in Chipping Sodbury.

The Sodbury Players have been active in the area since 1946 and their annual pantomime entertains thousands of people across South Gloucestershire.

This year is no different, with the group working hard in rehearsals to bring their latest production to life.

Taking place at Chipping Sodbury Town Hall on the high street, Jack and the Beanstalk is looking to continue with the standards set by previous years.

Kicking off on Friday, 18 January, tickets are almost sold out, however there are a few remaining for the run until Saturday, January 26.

"We are always really excited to bring our pantomimes to the stage," a spokesperson for the group said.

"It is great when you start performing a show that you have been rehearsing for the last couple of months.

"Over the years we have had some great success with all of our shows and we hope that the audience really enjoy this one as well.

"It is a traditional family pantomime and we are sure that this year will be another good one."

The group enjoyed success at the Rose Bowl South West awards in 2018 and have also been nominated for two Noda South West awards.
