Three men were arrested on suspicion of drink or drug driving after a crash in Cirencester last night.
Two cars were involved in a crash on London Road, Cirencester, just before midnight last night (January 10), near Kingshill School.
A red VW Golf was involved in a crash with a grey BMW 320.
Both cars sustained quite a bit of damage, but the driver of the VW Golf fled the scene.
Officers found the golf shortly after parked in the Corinium, via an estate off London Road.
A spokesperson for Gloucestershire Police said: "Enquiries at a nearby property identified three young men who police believe were in the car at the time of the collision.
"Based on what these three told police, all of them were arrested on suspicion of driving whilst unfit through drink or drugs. "All were taken to Compass House Police Station near Gloucester where they are currently detained for sobriety and interviews later today."
Anyone who witnessed the crash last night, or has any information that will help police identify the driver of the golf should call police on 101 and quote incident number 465 of January 10.
