Thieves dressed in balaclavas punched a woman in the face and pushed a man to the ground during a robbery.
Five men dressed in black with their faces covered attacked the couple as they returned to their car near the Cat and Custard Pot Inn at Shipton Moyne, near Tetbury.

One man was carrying a baseball bat.
During the assault the thieves, who did not sound English, shouted abuse at the couple as they pushed the husband to the floor punched the wife in the face.
One of the men grabbed a briefcase from the car that contained valuable jewellery.
The thieves then drove off in a large black Landrover, possibly a Discovery, towards the A46.
Police are appealing for any witnesses who were in the area at the time, or saw the car parked near the Cat and Custard.
