RESIDENTS may be able to recycle even more (article 13/12 page 15), eventually!
But all gardeners will be heavily penalised by the reduction in garden waste collections – now to be 20 times a year or less, and none at all for 3 months in the winter.
Even after home composting we, and doubtless many others, will have to make many more private car journeys to recycling centres – often some distance away and with limited opening times.
This measure may help the Council budget, but environmentally sound?
I think not, and very hard on those who like to garden.
