Police are currently on the scene on the accident at the junction of the A40 and A429 near Northleach
A huge cable has fallen off a lorry onto the A40 roundabout, prompting Gloucestershire Police to close a stretch of road.
The incident, which happened near the A429 junction with Northleach, is causing significant delays on both roads.
Police officers are on the scene but witnesses say that they believe it will take some time to clear the shed load.
Traffic is building and journey times are being affected. Drivers are advised to check their journey before they travel.
