A major commuter road in Yate is currently closed for what could be the final instalment of maintenance work.
Sundridge Park, near Yate Shopping Centre has been closed for periods over the last couple of months after numerous potholes left the road surface in poor condition.
There was some disruption for road users who were trying to access the three schools that are situated on the road, with diversions via Rodford Way being in place.
Those schools that are affected are Yate Academy, St Paul's Catholic Primary and Woodlands Primary.
The road was closed from around 8.30am and will remain so until around 3.00pm if everything goes according to schedule.
There have been concerns about speed on Sundridge Park following the resurfacing work in October, with speed bumps not being replaced since.
