LECHLADE is gearing up for the traditional start of Christmas this weekend, when the Christmas Lights will be turned on.
The event on Saturday, December 1 will take place in Lechlade Market Place from 4-7pm.
The St Lawrence School Choir will sing carols and there will be more music from vintage singer Delores, morris dancing, Sponge Bob and friends as well as a small fun fair, barbecue and stalls.
Father Christmas himself will be arriving at 5.30pm in the town and switching on the lights at 6pm.
