ACTOR, director and comedian, Ben Miller, who lives in the Cotswolds, will be bringing the magic of Christmas to Cirencester, at a signing for his new book in the town next month.

Ben will be signing copies of his book 'The Night I Met Father Christmas' at Octavia's Bookshop in Black Jack Street on Saturday, December 8, in a non ticketed event.

Octavia Karavia said: “We are super excited to announce we have Ben Miller coming to sign his beautiful book.

"Not only is he a great actor and comedian but he is the author of one of our favourite Christmas stories this year. 'The Night I Met Father Christmas’ feels like an instant classic and is a magical, funny, charming cosy Christmas fireside read."

She advised people to come as early as possible to avoid the queue.

Best known for writing and starring in The Armstrong and Miller Show, Ben can currently be seen as Rowan Atkinson’s sidekick, Bough, in Johnny English Strikes Again. Ben's other recent film credits include Paddington 2, What We Did On Our Holiday, and The Incredible Journey of the Fakir.

'The Night I Met Father Christmas’ has been described as a "gorgeous tale brimming with the magic of Christmas."

Jackson has always wanted to meet Father Christmas. He knows all about the reindeer, he knows about the elves and the secret North Pole workshop, he knows about the magic that allows Father Christmas to deliver presents around the world in just one night, but there's one question he wants answered. How did Father Christmas become Father Christmas?

One Christmas Eve, Jackson’s wish comes true and not only does he get to meet Father Christmas but he also hears his incredible story.

So begins an enchanting fairy-tale journey into the unknown story of Torvil Christmas – a hard, cruel elf, abandoned at birth, who discovers the meaning of life and learns to love again.

The book features full page classical illustrations by Daniela Jaglenka Terrazzini.

Meet Ben Miller at Octavia's Bookshop on Black Jack Street in Cirencester on Saturday, December 8 from 11am-12.30pm. No tickets required.
